TREND ALERT: Leopard Print

For all of you who are lying on a towel on the beach right now, finally able to get a descent summer tan, with not a thing to worry about - we have to be realistic here. I don’t want to ruin your mood, but within a month it’s autumn. Trees will shed their leaves, temperature will drop fast and the sun will disappear for a long, long time. We have to prepare ourselves for the cold seasons – sooner rather than later

Besides managing the mental depression caused by the knowledge that the darkness is coming for us, we have to make our wardrobe ready for these harsh times. Start with checking your supplies. Chucky knits? Check. Items perfect for layering? Check. Black platform boots? Check. Replenish where necessary. Make a list of the things you want to add to your wardrobe. Oh, and uhm, you can put a leopard printed garment at the top of your list, because I’ll ensure you, you’re going to need it.

If designers like Dries van Noten dedicate in fact their whole collection to the print of this big cat’s coat, you know what’s coming. It will take over the street image this season. Coats, jackets, skirts, pants, boots - literally everything will be covered in leopard print. How cool, right? But as you know, leopard print itself isn’t something new, but what makes it this season so popular is the variety in the materials and the way of using – a good example are the velvet leopard pants à la Dries van Noten.

Because it’s not the easiest print to combine, I thought it would be a good idea to give some examples of how you can pull of the leopard print. Enjoy!

I absolutely love slip-on sneakers! They are so comfortable yet fashionable and you find them in many different prints. I've bought white ones at H&M; nice basics but still stylish. Soon I'm going to Amsterdam and hopefully I find a pair with a leopard print.

In this blog post I'll share my slip-on inspiration finds with you. Enjoy!

I hope you liked todays post :) Happy easter everyone!!

Chelsea Boots

You see them more and more often: Chelsea Boots! I absolutely love these shoes. For those who don't know what kind of shoes they are: they're ankle boots with on the side a black stretch fabric. Unfortunately I don't have them myself yet, but it will definitely happen. In this blog post I'm going to show you  my favorites.

Cut Out Boots

On colder days you can put a cute sock in them like this blogger
I saw this boots in the end of October in Sacha. I wanted them so badley but I didn't have enough money to buy them. And now, almost three months later, I finally got them! And I love it! The buckles and the golden (in this picture they became silver, i don't know why) details are very pretty. You can combine them with everything and they are a nice addition to your outfit.

Sacha has got many cut out boots, you should definitely check it out.

The Green KENZO Sweater!

I'm in love with this brand! Especially with the sweaters! Who doens't love a big tigerhead on your stomach. And that's why I bought one!

Not the real one of course, those are 200 euros and I can't afford that. So I bought a look-a-like. And lucky me, it looks exactly like the real green KENZO sweater. You can't see any difference. My sweater is also from really good quality. So I don't mind that I haven't a real KENZO sweater.

But the question is, how to combine this striking sweater without being too dramatic?

Some inspiration to style a green KENZO sweater:

Bandana's, yes please!

I think it's gonna be my new addiction: bandana's! A few days ago I bought a bandana online. Actually it's a farmer handkerchief (in dutch: een boerenzakdoek). But I don't know if that's a real existing English word. Anyway, I ordered it on this site: https://www.bouffante.nl

I think blue suits me the best because my hair is a bit reddish and a red bandana curses with that. I preferably wear the bandana with a messy bun and the knot of the bandana on top of my head:

But you can also wear it in other ways:
*Rock chick: This is the tougher way to wear a bandana. Put a lot of beach spray in your hair for a messy look. Next tie the bandana with the knot on your head. You're good to go!

*Retro version: a good way to hide a bad hairday! Make a bun with your hair. Then wrap the bandana round your head like a headscarf. Make sure that the knot is on top of your head.
*Hipster girl: this version of the bandana is really cute to wear for example to a festival! All you have to do is tie the bandana around your head as messy as possible. In my opinion it's the most fun to use a very colorful scarf for this look.

*Girly girl: this is the cutest way to wear your bandana. Roll the bandana so that it's very thin, and then turn it over your head, with the knot on the side. If you wish, you can even make a bow instead of a knot for a cuter effect.
